Nottingham e-Games 2005

In 2005 the ESC provided £5,000 sponsorship for the inaugural Nottingham Games in Education conference and e-Games league. This unique conference programme consisted of speeches, hands-on workshops and panel events for approximately 120 teachers, technicians and trainers from the Nottingham area, focusing on the theme of ‘Games in Education’.

The event also featured an open e-gaming competition for 64 Year 10 and 11 students from city schools, who competed throughout the day for individual and team prizes. Participants were also ale to attend a workshop on the skills needed to find employment in the gaming industry.

The ESC has made a three-year commitment to donating £120,000 to Whizz Kidz, the largest charity in the UK supplying mobility equipment to children. click for more
