The Entertainment Software Charity

The Entertainment Software Charity is the official charity of the UK computer and video games industry. It was founded in 2000 by prominent members of the UK Games Industry in order to deliver real benefits directly to those who need it most. We work with charities which bring hope to disadvantaged young people by providing educational and medical support. Importantly, these charities are skilled at knowing how to get the right help to the right people effectively and efficiently.

In 2005 the ESC donated a total of £507,000 to educational and medical causes specifically for young people.

Our objectives are to …

Expand fund-raising initiatives
Secure the support of Government
Focus on education and medical grants
Create partnerships throughout the entire games industry
Seek positive messages for the games industry
Act as leader and catalyst for corporate responsibility in games
